Wellness

Pilates is based on the principle that before working the peripheral parts of the body, the core needs to be strong and stable. Pilates seeks to develop an equal balance of abdominal and lower back musculature in order to build strength, agility and muscle tone in a balanced way. Each Pilates exercise is a lesson in opposition. Movement in one direction is lengthened and controlled into the next, while oppositional muscles stabilize. This allows Pilates to lengthen and strengthen muscles simultaneously, helping to create an energized, pain-free, flexible and strong body.

Mental focus and concentration during Pilates is as important as the physical discipline. When clients learn to fully concentrate while executing each exercise with precision and control, the body will improve dramatically. Pilates is as much for the mind as it is for the body.

Stauber Method Chiropractic
Aaron Stauber, Doctor of Chiropractic, suffered from debilitating migraines as a child and into adulthood. As an elite athlete, he played Division 1 basketball at the University of Minnesota and made it to the Final Four his senior season.
He was diagnosed with 2 herniated discs in his low back enduring horrendous low back pain. He has experienced multiple concussions and nauseating, terrifying vertigo. He’s experienced whiplash from motor vehicle accidents, and separated his shoulder. Chiropractic care, while often aggressive and scary, was his only relief.

As a chiropractic student, he sought to find gentler, more effective and precise ways of delivering care while avoiding drugs and/or surgery. He wanted patients to look forward to treatment, rather than fear it. Through years of research and refinement, Dr. Stauber uncovered a deeper level of structural tissue damage that to date, has gone ‘untouched’ by traditional manual therapy methods. Combining Precision Spinal care with targeted soft tissue therapy and movement concepts has produced results that are effective, natural, and gentle. His search to find answers for his own healing has allowed him to empathize with the sufferings of others while providing reproducible solutions. With over 2 decades of practice experience, Dr. Stauber’s work, is constantly evolving and expanding to deliver top notch results that are: Gentle, Precise and Efficient.

Rhona Rosenblatt, LCSW, Psychotherapist
I am an LCSW providing psychotherapy to adults and couples. In addition to talk therapy, I incorporate aspects of somatic work, which is mindful attention to what is held non-verbally in the body. If you are interested in somatic work, we will together explore patterns in the body, whether from trauma or other life experiences, that may be impacting you in the present. Clients often tell me that learning to pay attention to the body provides an additional path toward healing that talk therapy alone has not.
I often see clients to explore adjustments to changing life circumstances or who are experiencing low mood, depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, fertility, grief, trauma, and PTSD. I worked for over ten years in the field of domestic and international adoption with prospective parents, new parents, multi-racial families, birth mothers, and adoptees, and spent many years working with foster children who were victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and neglect. In addition, I worked with youth in the role of school therapist. I have presented in the community numerous times on the subjects of adoption, foster care, and infertility. I earned my Master's Degree (MSW) from UCLA in 1999 and became licensed as an LCSW in 2001. I draw primarily from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Attachment-Focused EMDR, Janina Fisher's TIST model, and Integrative Body Psychotherapy practices and principles. My office is set in nature and is surrounded by calming mountain views. Covid friendly practices are in place.
I am married and have two wonderful children and a dog. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and breathing in fresh mountain and ocean air.
